As a student in one of the nation’s top-ranked accounting schools, you’ll learn from faculty who are top researchers and leaders in accounting education.
You’ll develop comprehensive accounting knowledge and skills that will prepare you for diverse career paths, including public accounting, managerial accounting, financial management, investing, and other business-related fields. You'll also have many opportunities to connect with alumni and accounting professionals, both in and out of the classroom.
In addition to completing the required accounting and business courses, you’ll take courses in the minor or concentration area of your choice. Options include approved university-recognized minors and these concentrations, specifically designed for PSOA undergraduates: Business Analytics & Information Systems, Economics, General Finance, Investment Analytics (requires acceptance), Management, Managerial Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, and Risk Management & Insurance.
You can gain accounting experience while earning course credit by participating in our optional internship program, which allows students to receive hands-on, real-world training while developing their professional networks and enhancing their employment prospects. The program is primarily designed for seniors who intern during spring semester. Each year, over 200 PSOA undergraduates work with top employers across the nation as well as abroad.
Accountancy is not only an outstanding field of study for virtually any career within the business world but also an excellent choice for students interested in law school, medical school, and other professional fields.
